November, by Jesse Nathan, is forthcoming.
November is a love letter. November is a series of daily journal entries, a short story, a sequence of soliloquies, a confession, a daybook, a crew of personas, a catalogue of flowers, an almanac of moods, a calendar of weather. Ecstatic and roving. Unpunctuated but precise. Following the travels and misadventures of the poet—in San Francisco, in Albuquerque, in mid-air—in twenty-eight sections, beginning the day after the Day of the Dead.
The book will be handset in Centuar, printed on Hahnemuhle Biblio, will have a cover of custom case paper from The Morgan Conservatory and will be bound by hand. A 3-poem pamphlet ($20) and broadside ($25) have been printed featuring work from the book and are available upon request.
This short pamphlet features excerpted poems from November. Text is handset in Centaur and printed on Hahnemuhle Biblio. The cover and title page feature a linocut relief print by Candida Pagan.
Jesse Nathan’s poems have appeared in jubilat, the American Poetry Review, the Nation, and elsewhere. He is the author of two other chapbooks: Cloud 9 (Dikembe) and Dinner (Milk Machine). Nathan was born in Berkeley, but grew up in rural Kansas. He lives in San Francisco.
